The greatest advances in reading
instruction are worthless unless they are easily
implemented, embraced by teachers and give students a
deep feeling of success. All our developers are active
classroom teachers concerned with both teacher and
student success.
“The students have
responded enthusiastically and our data
indicates that the earlier (grade) we
implement the program the more significant
are the gains.” Mimi Williams, MEDCCC/SLP
Fairview Elementary School, High Point, North Carolina |

Sound Reading uses techniques derived
from cognitive learning theory so that our 35 methods
are easy to teach and enjoyable to learn. The
instruction is explicit and direct in its implementation

“My favorite feed-back
is from a 12 year old girl who described her
initial problem as “not hearing the big
words” when she read. After completing the
first CD and moving into the next level, she
told me her homework took less time, and she
noticed that reading out loud was easier.”
Dvora Gottlieb, MMS, CC-SLP,
Savannah Speech and Hearing Center,

Both
our software and curricular materials use a spiral
approach, minimizing student failure. All skills and
strategies are learned to an automatic level. Find out
how Sound Reading can your students to
