Level 4 is for Fourth Grade and is built on several
curriculum focal points:
Quick recall of multiplication and related division facts.
Developing an understanding of decimals and relation to
fractions.
Understand and determine area of two dimensional shapes.
This level has a
number of skills and strategies:
Identify, describe, and extend numeric patterns involving all
operations.
Understanding of properties of two-dimensional shapes while
finding the areas of polygons.
Measure and classify angles.
Make frequency tables, bar graphs, picture graphs, and line
plots.
Extend understanding of place value and ways of representing
numbers to 100,000 in various contexts.
Use estimation in determining the relatives sizes of amounts.
